White women can march through intersections, but their feminism can't

Disclaimer: I am not apologizing for this post.

Now I love seeing women of all nationalities fighting to change the system that continues to undermine and belittle trans, non-binary and cis women. I appreciate everyone voicing their opinions and sticking up for what they believe in, but my question to everyone - whether you marched on Saturday or not - is what exactly do you stand for? Are you fighting to end corruption or just to ensure your rights equate to that of white men?

The number of people in support to this march, tripled that of those marching for the Black lives matter movement, so you can see why Black people are still skeptical of your support. Such a peaceful march, you didn't hear nothing of police water hosing or tear gassing folks like they did to black folks in the past or people peacefully protesting at Standing Rock here in the present.

I have white friends that would like, comment, reblog and rave on and on about the march, but fall silent the second someone speaks on the interconnection of social structures and lacking of conversation topics on the matter. Maybe I'm ignorant to the flow of things but I can't help but feel like the woman's march had a hint of all lives matter flavor and I refuse to support #ALM until lives of people of color stop being taken for granted.

To me, that march felt like buyers remorse meant to pacify white women's egos. Yeah, I said it. Okay, all nationalities were represented, *eye roll* but this wouldn't be the first time women of color were used to get the number count up, only this time they didn't dare ask us to march in the back. Why do we continue to have their backs when they disappear when it's time to have ours?

I can't help but feel a tinge of resentment when I hear people talking about this march will finally make progress and get stuff done, as though all the previous marches were pointless and until white feminists started chiming in, stealing the thunder of two historic black marches then all of a sudden it's worth marching for?

And what made matters even worse, some of you have the nerve to be mad at women of color posting about 53% white women voting for Trump, well, that isn't our fault nor our problem. Get out your feelings. Address the actual issues at hands and though you might not consider yourself part of the problem, one if not most of the members in your predominately white circle is. People will show their faces for the photo ops, to pretend they're allies, to soothe their inflamed egos, but when women of color seek their help they vanish. Do you wholeheartedly support them? Or just nod and try to explain to them why you feel they're overreacting?
